I am almost done with this cycle of chemoradiation—I finished chemotherapy today and have two radiation sessions left. It feels like forever since I left San Francisco, but I'm also gripped with the uncertainty of not knowing when I'll be back or when I’ll feel better. It's a time of waiting, a time of the unknown, and a time of realizing that any semblance of control I thought I had was an illusion to begin with.
Another beautifully written essay. You are such a wonderful writer--you are really a poet. Your words touch me so deeply. I am thrilled to read that the tumor is shrinking. Hurray! Thank you for sharing your reflections with those of us who love you so dearly---there are many of us!!! xo
We hear you, Louise. Your reflections are powerful and they visit me throughout my week. I know you are hibernating but your words are out in the world and they are generously changing perspectives, perhaps more than you know. Stay strong, stay surrendered, let your animal love what it loves!
Beautiful, pain filled words, such wisdom and strength in the midst of vast uncertainties. Your courage pulls them together like the stroke of an oar through water. You will survive this, and thrive. I have faith in you! Love, Aunt Eleanor
Such power in your words. Thank you for sharing, for writing, for fighting, and for loving. We are all thinking about you.

Keep on fighting, and keep on writing. We need your smile back here in San Francisco. Sending much love, Louise xox
You made me cry on my way to a pitch…. Tons of love from Boston today. I look forward to seeing you when you are healing!
